February is a busy month for bonspiels at the Weyburn Curling Club!
February 2/3, 2024 OTS - Oilfield Technical Society Bonspiel. Teams must have 2 curlers employed in the oilfield. Limited spots available. See weyburnotscurling.com for more details
February 9/10, 2024 The Turner Cup. New this year, this bonspiel pits the club's young curlers agains the seasoned club members. Teams are hand picked from the WCC membership by the captains. This year's captains are Ryan Skjerdal and Ashley Becker for Team Youth and Bruce Miller and Shirley Miller for Team Experience. Men's, Ladies, Doubles or Skins games will be played. Spectators are encourage to join in the fun by coming down to the rink and enjoying some comraderie and cheer for their favourites. The winners will hoist the Turner Cup, named for Don Turner, well known Weyburn supporter of curling and founder of the Turner Curling museum which will be open during the event.
February 23/24 Men's and Ladies Bonspiels. The bonspiels will be run cocurrently this year with a limit of 12 teams for each of the Men and Ladies divisions.
